About Us
Nilanjo! is a fashion firm located in Boston, Massachusetts solely created and coordinated by designer and stylist, Nika L.A. Jones Hollingsworth. Nilanjo! specializes in innovative design, couture fashion, and custom creations for women sizes 2 to 22. We take pride in our unique structure and can guarantee that we are not your typical fashion firm. Nilanjo! models truly represent all sizes and are everyday, real women of all ages...whether students, mothers, or working class individuals...they are there to inspire; not intimidate.
Nilanjo! was established in 2000. Since April 2001, Nilanjo! has held fashion shows, displaying Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter designs. Models of all heights and sizes come together to display new designs while modeling to the hottest music provided by DJ Joshua "Twig" Elzey. Funky themes, seductive skits, and handsome escorts round out the venue.
May - 2011 marked our 18th fashion production for Nilanjo! It was a seriously fun show with use of color and textures to represent the season and our cause (Diabetes). A portion of the ticket proceeds was donated to the American Diabetes Association. We also donated raffle proceeds to Peace Boston in an effort to help increase the peace for our youth! It was a great turn out and a great time! The goal is to encourage community giving and use something as fun and unique as fashion to promote awareness and get more people involved with giving back. We also had an event on October 22nd titled HAUTE PINK where we raised funds for Breast Cancer Awareness...donations were made to Dana-Farber Institute as well as The American Cancer Society. Founder, Fashion Designer & Event Coordinator for Nilanjo! Fashion Entertainment manages all aspects of each fashion show production as well as writes and distributes Nilanjo's online newsletter. The primary goal of this establishment is to use fashion to encourage, empower and inspire women of all sizes (and ages) to love themselves and to help promote positive self esteem.
